🌵
Tephrocactus geometricus f. variegata 'Purple' is one of the most unusual and visually striking collector forms of this iconic Argentine species. Unlike the familiar blue-green or gray forms, this remarkable selection develops rich lavender, plum, and smoky violet tones that intensify with bright sunlight and cool temperatures, giving each perfectly rounded cladode the appearance of carved stone dusted with frost. The compact spherical segments stack naturally into whimsical towers that have earned this form the affectionate nickname "Purple Snow Man Cactus." Exceptionally slow growing and rarely available, these colorful specimens combine extraordinary sculptural form with some of the most distinctive coloration found in any Tephrocactus. Each additional segment adds to its personality, making even small plants feel like living works of art destined to become treasured collector specimens over time.

Collector Notes
Tephrocactus geometricus is native to the dry mountains of northwestern Argentina and has long been considered one of the world's premier collector cacti for its perfectly geometric segments and remarkably slow growth. Purple forms are especially uncommon and highly sought after for their unusual coloration, which changes subtly throughout the seasons. Although compact today, specimens like this continue developing character for decades, becoming increasingly sculptural and valuable with age.
