LIGHT – Full sun, partial sun; shade during the harsh afternoon sun
WATER - Drought tolerant. Water deeply and regularly when dry. Cut back on water in winter.
SOIL – Well drained cactus soil.
COLD TOLERANCE - Thrives outdoors year-round only in the very warmest regions (zones 9 to 10). In other areas, aloe grows best indoors as a houseplant, with some growers moving them outdoors for summer.
DORMANCY - Winter
SIZE – Up to 5" tall
FLOWERS – Red-orange tubular flowers atop a tall spike appear in winter
