🌵

A commanding and deeply established specimen of Pachycereus pringlei, the legendary Cardón cactus—the tallest cactus species in the world and one of the great icons of the Baja desert.

Thick-bodied, heavily rooted, and full of presence, this plant carries the visual authority only time can create. Broad ribs, substantial girth, and mature weight give it the sculptural gravity collectors search for but rarely find available in shippable form.

At 26 inches tall above the soil line and 7 inches wide, this is no starter plant. It is an already-made statement piece with years of growth built in.

Ancient in spirit, architectural in silhouette, and increasingly difficult to source at this caliber.

🌱 Care Instructions

☀️ Light
Bright light to full sun. Acclimate gradually before intense afternoon exposure if moving from shade or greenhouse conditions.

💧 Water
Water thoroughly, then allow soil to dry completely before watering again. Reduce frequency significantly in cooler months.

🪨 Soil
Use a fast-draining cactus or mineral-based mix. Excellent drainage is essential.

🌡️ Temperature
Prefers warmth, airflow, and dry conditions. Protect from frost and prolonged freezing temperatures.

💨 Humidity
Low humidity preferred. Average dry household conditions are suitable.

🪴 Growth Habit
Slow to moderate-growing giant columnar species that gains trunk mass, stature, and dramatic presence with age.

📝 Special Note
Handle carefully. Mature specimens are heavy and substantial. Spines may be present depending on age and growth stage.
