🌵

A rare and highly expressive variegated form of Myrtillocactus geometrizans, known as the ‘Rainbow’ cultivar for its shifting tones and layered coloration.

This specimen displays a dynamic interplay of mint green, powder blue, soft gold, and occasional blush, with variegation moving unpredictably along each rib. Some sections read clean and banded, while others break into marbled transitions, giving the plant a sense of motion rather than static pattern.

The contrast between chlorophyll-rich zones and creamy variegated areas creates a natural gradient that evolves with light and time. As the plant matures, both structure and coloration deepen together, producing something that feels simultaneously architectural and atmospheric.

Unlike more uniform columnar cacti, this is a piece that rewards close observation — the kind of plant that changes throughout the day as light shifts across its surface.

🌱 Care Instructions

☀️ Light
Bright light to full sun. Variegated sections are more sensitive—acclimate gradually to avoid stress or sunburn.

💧 Water
Water thoroughly, then allow soil to dry completely before watering again. Reduce frequency in cooler months.

🪨 Soil
Use a fast-draining cactus or mineral-based mix. Excellent drainage is essential.

🌡️ Temperature
Prefers warmth and airflow. Protect from frost and prolonged cold exposure.

💨 Humidity
Low humidity preferred. Average household conditions are suitable.

🪴 Growth Habit
Columnar grower with moderate speed. Variegation may shift and intensify over time, with new growth sometimes expressing different patterns.

📝 Special Note
Variegation is inherently unstable and may evolve with light, seasonality, and growth phase. Shifts in pattern and coloration are natural and expected.
