🌵
A classic crested form of Myrtillocactus geometrizans, developing in sculptural, fan-like growth with flowing ridges and layered folds.
Rather than growing upright in columns, this specimen spreads laterally in undulating waves, forming a dense crest that feels both organic and deliberate. The surface carries the signature soft blue-green tone of the species, with subtle tonal shifts across the ridges that become more pronounced as light moves across the plant.
Each fold builds upon the next, creating depth and structure that reads almost like carved material. There’s a natural rhythm to the form—balanced but never rigid, expressive without becoming chaotic.
Over time, the crest thickens and becomes increasingly complex, developing tighter ridging and more intricate movement. It’s the kind of piece that rewards slow looking, revealing new contours and details from every angle.
🌱 Care Instructions
☀️ Light
Bright light to full sun. Indoors, provide the brightest possible exposure. Acclimate gradually before intense direct sun.
💧 Water
Water thoroughly, then allow soil to dry completely before watering again. Reduce frequency in cooler months.
🪨 Soil
Use a fast-draining cactus or mineral-based mix. Excellent drainage is essential.
🌡️ Temperature
Prefers warmth and good airflow. Protect from frost and prolonged cold exposure.
💨 Humidity
Low humidity preferred. Average household conditions are suitable.
🪴 Growth Habit
Crested, fan-like growth that expands laterally over time, increasing in density and developing more intricate folding as it matures.
📝 Special Note
Crested growth can vary in direction and speed. Avoid overwatering, particularly during cooler periods.
