A bold and highly architectural succulent shrub, Kleinia neriifolia is admired for its thick upright stems, sculptural branching habit, and unusual blue-green foliage.

Often nicknamed “Mermaid Legs” for its elongated segmented stems, this species develops a striking silhouette that feels almost coral-like as it matures. The smooth cylindrical trunks gradually branch outward into dramatic upright forms topped with narrow fleshy leaves that sway gently in the wind.

The coloration ranges from silvery green to dusty blue-green, often developing subtle purple or bronze tones under strong light and dry conditions. Mature specimens take on an increasingly tree-like appearance, giving the plant an ancient, windswept character rarely seen in more common succulents.

At over 17 inches tall, this specimen already carries substantial presence and immediately reads as a mature collector plant rather than a starter specimen.
