Euphorbia obesa f. cristata, also known as the crested baseball plant, is a unique succulent with a distinctive appearance due to its crested, fan-shaped branches. It's a form of the more common Euphorbia obesa, often referred to as the baseball plant. 

KEY CHARACTERISTICS:

• Appearance:
  The "cristata" form (meaning crested) results in a plant with fan-shaped, ridge-like growths instead of the typical spherical shape of the standard Euphorbia obesa. 
• Origin:
  Like the standard form, it's native to the Cape Province of South Africa and thrives in arid conditions. 
• Care:
  It's drought-tolerant and requires minimal watering, with well-draining soil and bright, indirect light. 
• Growth:
  It's a slow-growing plant and may take several years to reach its maximum size, which is roughly 20 cm in height and diameter. 
• Propagation:
  It can be propagated through pups that grow from the mother plant, and grafting or tissue culture may also be possible. 
• Rarity:
  While E. obesa itself is considered rare in its natural habitat, the "cristata" form is even more sought-after among collectors. 
• Toxicity:
  Like other Euphorbias, it produces a toxic sap, so it's best to keep it away from pets and children.
