🌵
A beautifully patterned Madagascan species, Euphorbia francoisii var. leandri is prized for its extraordinary foliage, compact caudiciform growth habit, and endlessly variable coloration.
Unlike most Euphorbias grown primarily for stems or structure, this species is celebrated for its leaves. Broad, slightly rippled foliage emerges in an incredible range of tones and markings — often blending deep green, silver, burgundy, bronze, chocolate, pink, or nearly black coloration in intricate veining and marbled patterns.
The low-growing caudiciform body gradually spreads outward with age, creating a sculptural base from which the foliage radiates. Each plant develops its own unique leaf shape, patterning, and coloration depending on genetics, lighting, and maturity, making every specimen feel highly individual.
At 7 inches wide, this specimen already carries strong presence and displays the layered texture and dramatic foliage contrast that have made francoisii one of the most sought-after Madagascan Euphorbias among collectors worldwide.
