🌵
A plant that feels almost improbable, Cereus forbesii Spiralis is defined by its slow, natural twist—each column rising in a deliberate corkscrew that seems more sculpted than grown. The spiral is not uniform or engineered; it develops gradually, giving every specimen its own rhythm and direction.
Its blue-green skin carries a soft, matte tone, broken by clean ribs and evenly spaced spines that reinforce the geometry of the form. As the plant matures, the twist becomes more pronounced, transforming it from a curious young plant into a true architectural presence.
This is less a cactus and more a living structure—something that occupies space with intention. It holds its own in a room, not through scale alone, but through line and movement.
🌱 Care Guide
Light
Prefers bright light to full sun. The more consistent direct light it receives, the stronger and more defined the spiral growth will remain. Indoors, place in the brightest location available.
Water
Water deeply, then allow the soil to dry out completely before watering again. During winter, reduce watering significantly to prevent rot.
Soil
Requires a fast-draining cactus mix. Adding pumice, perlite, or lava rock will improve drainage and long-term root health.
Temperature
Thrives in warmth during the growing season. Protect from frost and prolonged cold exposure.
Humidity
Prefers low humidity and benefits from good airflow.
Growth Habit
Columnar and slow to moderate growing. The spiral becomes more defined over time, with each plant developing its own unique pattern.
Special Note
Insufficient light can cause the plant to stretch and lose the clarity of its spiral form. Consistent, strong light is key to maintaining its structure.
🪴 Why It Stands Out
- Naturally occurring spiral growth—no two alike

- Clean, graphic rib structure
