The Tephrocactus Geometricus variegata is a captivating cactus known for its distinctive appearance and geometric, spherical segments. It's a rare and slow-growing plant, prized by collectors. 

Key Characteristics:

• Appearance: Forms small, round segments resembling stacked balls, growing in a geometric pattern.
• Color: The stems are typically bluish-green but can turn reddish-purple with full sun exposure.
• Variegation: The 'variegata' form displays striking patterns of pink and yellow, a result of a mutation affecting chlorophyll production.
• Spines: Minimal spines or rough edges may be present.
• Flowers: Produces beautiful white to pale pink flowers with a darker midstripe, though they are short-lived, lasting only a single day. 

Growing Conditions:

• Habitat: Native to the arid, rocky terrains of Argentina, specifically the Catamarca region. It thrives in extreme desert conditions with intense sunlight and minimal water.
• Light: Requires bright, direct sunlight for at least 5-8 hours daily. South or west-facing windows are ideal indoors.
• Watering: Drought-tolerant and prefers dry soil. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can be detrimental.
• Soil: Needs well-draining cactus or succulent soil.
• Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures during the day (70-85°F) and cooler temperatures at night (50-60°F).
