Madagascar palms go dormant in the winter, shedding all their leaves.  
In the spring/summer, their leaves return.

 

This is the biggest one we've ever seen.

Measures 11" tall above the soil line x 12" wide.

LIGHT – Full sun to partial shade

 

WATER - Water when surface soil is dry. Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Water less in winter.

 

SOIL – Well drained soil

 

COLD TOLERANCE - Zones 9a - 11b.

 

DORMANCY - Winter

 

SIZE – Up to 20 feet tall x 1 foot in diameter

 

FLOWERS – White flowers, yellow in the center, up to 3+ inches in diameter
